什麼時候該把食物換成腎處方?

一旦確診IRIS CKD Stage 2或出現蛋白尿,就應啟動飲食介入。早期胃口好,接受度最高;拖到厭食期再換成功率較低。

狗狗不愛吃處方飼料,我可以加肉絲或湯嗎?

基本可以,但需選 低磷低鈉 食材,並控制在每日熱量的 10 % 內,避免稀釋處方飼料效益。需考慮腎臟分級與目前指數狀況,且強烈建議先跟你的獸醫師先討論過。

可以只吃營養保健品(魚油、膳食纖維等),但先不換飼料嗎?

不太建議。魚油與纖維屬「加分」項目,核心仍是「限磷 + 優質蛋白」處方基底。

omega‑3 劑量怎麼算?

體重 (kg) × 65 mg ≈ 每日EPA+DHA量。例如 10 kg 狗:650 mg。請確認軟膠囊標示「EPA、DHA」以及濃度數值,並分餐餵食降低腸胃不適。

腎臟處方除了乾飼料外,可以吃罐頭嗎?

可以,但建議使用「腎臟處方罐頭/濕糧」。若用一般罐頭,建議選擇磷含量 < 80 mg/100 kcal,並換算整日總磷。罐頭含水高,對提升飲水量或有幫助。

腎病已經第四期(Stage 4),處方飼料也不吃了,怎麼辦?

目標改為「吃得到就好」。可先用高熱量流質(處方罐頭打泥)、配合食道胃管或鼻胃管餵食,同步給藥控制噁心感,並維持體重就算是及格。另外可考慮自製鮮食,但建議讓專業獸醫營養師調配,確保不會營養失衡。
